Quality Conservation Services (QCS) and its parent, Free Energy Savings Company, provide free energy conservation improvements to qualified middle- and lower-income households in selected California communities under contracts funded by California utilities, such as PG&E Energy Savings Assistance Program (ESA).

We have immediate FULL-TIME openings for installers in our Concord offices. Plenty of work and overtime is available daily.

Successful candidates often come from similar fields such as pool installers/service technicians, residential handyman, solar installers, plumbers, HVAC installers and electricians.

Duties:

• Explain the process for installation of energy saving measures to customers.
• Communicate and educate customers on the energy saving measures installed.
• Follow blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installation.
• Conduct maintenance and repair work on HVAC systems as needed.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues with HVAC systems.
• Perform service and repairs on various plumbing systems in residential settings.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Must be handy (would be helpful to have most carpentry tools but is not a requirement).
• Residential pool servicing experience preferred.
• Plumbing experience with knowledge of heat pump water heaters at residential properties preferred.
• Must have great customer service skills and solid math skills.
• Knowledge of construction practices.
• Previous experience as an HVAC install or service technician.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Familiarity with HVAC design principles.
• Proficiency in plumbing techniques.
• Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems.
• Field service experience.
• Must be reliable and dependable.
• Clean driving background, pass drug screen, pass background check.
